Our Search Process
Providing Everything You Need
Transition Phase
Working with sessions, staff, and transitional pastors we guide congregations through the insecurities precipitated by pastoral transitions. This is accomplished by:

-
Identifying appropriately trained transitional pastors whose skills are aligned with the specific needs of the transition congregation.
-
Onboarding and coaching the transitional pastor through the transitional phase as the session seeks to discern God’s Preferred Future for the congregation.
-
Discerning the Vision Frame that will shape the future direction of the congregation.
-
Writing a position description to guide the pastoral search team to appropriate candidates.
Search Process
Once the vision is discerned and articulated, and the position description is completed, we will assist the search team by:

-
Suggesting candidates who meet the position description.
-
Screening potential candidates to assure that they meet denominational, presbytery, or classis requirements.
-
Assisting to negotiate appropriate salary and benefits.
Installed Phase
Following the identification, call, and installation of the new pastor we will coach the newly-installed pastor by:

-
Assuring that the transition is complete, clarifying any misunderstandings that may arise when a new call is implemented.
-
Consulting during the first two critical years of the new call to help ensure the successful confluence between the congregation's vision frame and the leadership style of the new pastor.
